Wheeler YOUTH

Middle School and HIgh School Students
Forming Godly Community in the Teenage Years
Teens and preteens are invited to join us for Wheeler Youth gatherings Sunday evenings at 6pm during the school year, and many of our students enjoy sitting together during Sunday morning worship at 10am. Please reach out to our Director of Children and Youth, Mckenzie Wyatt-Hartgrove with any questions about Wheeler Youth!
Building Community
Our Director of Children and Youth, McKenzie Wyatt-Hartgrove leads weekly youth meetings and works to create a sense of Christian community. This group also engages in intergenerational mentorship with other members of Wheeler.
We maintain safety using the Safer Sanctuaries policy and a revolving group of volunteers to assist with supervision and support.
Growing in faith
We focus on exploring the questions our youth have and connecting God's Word to their lives.
In addition to our weekly meetings and faith formation, we also attend several events focused on helping our youth deepen their relationship with God, such as:
- Ressurrection
- Holston Conference Youth Rally
- Youth Retreat
- And more
Serving one another
Wheeler is a community that values service, so, naturally, we encourage our youth to do the same! Many of our youth members serve as ushers, AV team volunteers, and even Wheeler Kids helpers!
The group as a whole also participates in community service projects at various times during the year from local service trips to helping pick up donations for our biannual yard sales.
