Ministries at Wheeler United Methodist Church

Wheeler is so proud of our growing children’s ministry!

Our Current Sunday Schedule:

• Learning Nursery from 9-11 AM for birth-Pre-K
• Children’s Small Group from 9-10 AM for elementary age children
• Grace Space in the Sanctuary from 10-11 AM during Worship (Includes Children’s Sermon)

This Kid’s Team is also responsible for putting on a variety of events such as Vacation Bible School and the Back to School Bash.

Middle School and High School students will love hanging out with #wheeleryouth.

Our Current Sunday Schedule:

• Youth Small Group at 9 AM in the Youth Room
• #wheeleryouth at 6 PM in the Youth Room

This group also goes to several conferences and camps to help students strengthen their faith and encounter Christ throughout the year. They engage in mission work and community outreach as a group, while building godly friendships and connections to the Church!

Small groups for adults of various ages meet at 9 AM every Sunday morning!

These groups are a wonderful way to connect with other Christians, join together in prayer for each other’s needs, and to dive deeper into Scripture and Religious study.

Wheeler highly prioritizes outreach and service, and the Mission Team is at the heart of that work.

This group helps with several amazing fundraisers and ongoing projects such as:

• Stocking the Blessing Box with non-perishables to share with our neighbors
• School Supply drives
• Implementing the Holston Conference’s Annual Hands-On-Mission Project
• Providing hygiene supplies for local students in need
• And so much more!

If you have a passion for helping your neighbors and showing Christ’s love through Charity, you would be perfect for this team! Click below to view the Mission Team’s current project and needs!

All men are invited to Men’s Breakfast on the fourth Sunday of each month at 8 AM in the Family Life Center.

Not only does this group have a wonderful time of prayer and fellowship at these events, they also provide a valuable service for the Church community! They is responsible for the annual Bluegrass Banquet, which raises money for missions and events at Wheeler and allows us to engage with the community.

All women are invited to participate in UWIF, which meets monthly at a rotating selection of homes and areas of the church.

The ladies of this group are the prayer warriors of Wheeler, and they have such a wonderful fellowship at their meetings. They also manage the Biannual Rummage Sale, which raises money for missions projects and events.
